All students are subjects to the Rules and Regulations of the College of Law. Furthermore, they are subject to the SSC-R Rules and Regulations concerning student conduct and discipline.
To safeguard its ideals of scholarship, character, and personality, the College, through the Dean of the College of Law, reserves the right to select its students and to establish conditions for admission, readmission, suspension and expulsion.
The College, through the Dean of the College of Law, may impose disciplinary administrative sanctions to any erring student, commensurate with the nature and gravity of the offense and after proper investigation.
Students may be expelled, dismissed, or suspended for reasons and in the manner prescribed by the Manual of Regulations for Private Schools and by the Commission on Higher Education.
The following offenses are punishable by expulsion or exclusion depending on the gravity of the offense:
- Carrying deadly weapon;
- Immorality;
- Selling and/or possession of prohibited drugs;
- Drug addiction;
- Assault upon student, professor, or any other person inside the campus;
- Forging school record or forms;
- Cheating during exams;
- Hazing resulting to serious physical injuries; and
- Grave misconduct.
The following offenses shall be punishable by suspension with the duration dependent on the gravity of the offense:
- Smoking;
- Unruly conduct during class hours;
- Hazing;
- Attending class intoxicated;
- Vandalism;
- Threats or intimidation against a student or professor;
- Slander; and
- Failure to comply with the dress code policy and similar rules.
Anti Smoking and Loitering Rules
The whole San Sebastian College has been declared Smoke Free Area. All students are prohibited from smoking inside the classrooms, in the administrative offices, in the corridors, and in the parking area.
All students are prohibited from loitering and talking aloud along the corridors while classes are going on.
All violators shall be reported by the professor or any student to the Dean who shall impose the appropriate penalty.
