Scholarships

1. Entrance Honors Scholarships:

The College shall grant academic scholarships to freshmen students who enroll for the first semester or second semester of any school year, as follows:

  • 100% tuition fee and 100% miscellaneous fees scholarships shall be given to freshmen students who graduated their bachelor’s degree with the Latin Honors, summa cum laude.
  • 100% tuition fee scholarship shall be given to freshmen students who graduated their bachelor’s degree with the Latin Honors, magna cum laude and cum laude.
  • 100% tuition fee scholarship shall be given to freshmen students who have landed in the Top 10in the Accountancy, Medical, Nursing, Engineering and Criminology Board Examinations.

2. Entrance Test Scholarships:

The College shall grant entrance test scholarships to freshmen students who did not qualify in “A” above, but performed well in the Law Entrance Examinations, as follows:

  • 100% tuition scholarship shall be given to the highest scorer in the Law Entrance Examinations;
  • 100% tuition scholarship shall be given to the second highest scorer in the Law Entrance Examinations;
  • 100% tuition scholarship shall be given to the third highest scorer in the Law Entrance Examinations.

3. Dean’s List Scholarship

The College shall award the following tuition fee scholarships for the first semester to the students in every year level (starting second year) who obtained the highest weighted average for one (1) school year from among the Dean’s List students cited for Academic Excellence, as follows:

  • 100% tuition scholarship to the student who ranked number 1 in the Dean’s List;
  • 50% tuition scholarship to the student who ranked number 2 in the Dean’s List;
  • 25% tuition scholarship to the student who ranked number 3 in the Dean’s List.

4. Continuing Scholarships:

To maintain the scholarship for all the above situations for the succeeding semester, the following retention policies will apply:

  1. The student must have enrolled in at least 15 units during the initial and every semester thereafter, including Seminars 1 & 2;

  2. The student’s Semestral QPI to be eligible for the retention of his scholarship is 84% with no grade lower than 80%, in any of his law subjects including, Seminars 1 and 2;

  3. A scholar must not have dropped, officially or unofficially from any subject unless the reason for obtaining the incomplete grade is a fortuitous event to be determined by the Dean or his duly authorized representative;

  4. At the end of every semester, and after the computation of the Semestral QPI, a committee composed of the Dean of the College of Law, the COL Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and COL Associate Dean for Student Affairs and the Registrar shall determine qualities for retention of scholarship; and

  5. Once disqualified from the program, the scholar forfeits his privileged for renewal of the scholarship.
